1. Be Early
Organisers tend to let sellers set up their stalls from very early in the morning, sometimes 2 hours before so an early start for the seller is an early start for you, the buyer.
What you are looking for here are signs that the seller is a novice or a seasoned boot sale ‘dealer’. This can have a huge baring later in the day when it comes to your buying.
For instance, does the seller look organised and know exactly where everything goes on their stall or are they looking a bit lost or flustered? Look at the items on sale and look for clues as to whether they have been bought to sell on or whether they are just part of a ‘clear out’.
Although you may not be able to buy before the official gate opening, you can still eye up potential treasures before anybody else and, lets be honest, a seller, especially a novice will not pass up on the chance of an early sale.
