TUCTA is a Constituent Affiliate of the ILO by virtue of the ILO's tripartite structure.

TUCTA is affiliated to:

• The ICFTU - The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions, (Brussels).
• The OATUU - Organisation of the African Trade Union Unity (Accra).
• The SATUCC - The Southern African Trade Union Consultative Council (Gaberone).
• The EATUC - The East African Trade Union Council (Arusha).
