Collagen and Healthy Beauty

April 5th, 2010

Since the dawn of time, humans have been looking for a way to keep their skin healthy and youthful. Thanks to recent technology, Natural Collagen products have been discovered. The amazing thing about this technology is that it has actually been around for many decades.

Sometimes, it just takes a bit of investigating in order to discover an obvious answer. What are Natural Collagen products? Simply put, they are skin care products that are derived from natural resources. Researchers have recently found that the collagen taken from fish by-products can make the skin appear refreshed and rejuvenated.

In addition to extracting natural collagen from fish by-products, researchers have also learned that collagen taken from fish skins also creates a drastic change when applied to the skin. Through a unique filtering system, these collagen extractions have been woven into a few specific skin care products that can slow down the aging process.

Why do Natural Collagen products work? Since collagen is a natural protein, the body does not reject this type of treatment. In fact, your body will absorb natural collagen products with ease creating an anti-aging effect. While many people often seek surgery in order to bring their skin back to life, going “under the knife” is not always necessary. Sometimes, it just takes the right skin care product to produce amazing results.

By restoring natural collagen to your skin, you will be able to re-create that vibrant look once more. While there are a large number of health and beauty products on the market, Natural Collagen skin care products make the most sense when you think about the science behind them.

The secret to maintaining that healthy glow is the understanding why the skin begins to age in the first place. Throughout the aging process, skin begins to lose its natural collagen and elasticity. The result of this process is skin that begins to look old, dull, and lifeless. Applying natural collagen to your skin will restore all of the collagen that it has lost.

Taking care of your skin is important if you want to keep it looking healthy and fresh. Aside from staying out of the sun and drinking plenty of water, you must also be careful when it comes to selecting face products. Products that are full of chemicals will only dry out your skin, but those skin care products made from natural substances will promote healthy skin.

Skin can be difficult to manage if it is not fully understood. However, with the proper knowledge on your side, your skin can keep looking healthy and vital for many years to come. Remember, skin is a living organism that requires a lot of special care and attention.

You may not be able to turn back the hands of time, but you can reverse the aging process with a few simple products that have been created with the help of Mother Nature. While chemicals will only dry out your skin producing dry, worn, skin, Natural Collagen will enhance the natural beauty that you once had.

Beauty Resolutions

March 13th, 2010

It’s a New Year and a new you! It’s time to take your beauty regimen seriously. If you haven’t had time to formulate your beauty resolutions for 2008, we’ve done it for you:

I resolve to take care of my hair

It’s not pleasant to think about but our hair becomes a dead protein as soon as it emerges from our scalp, which means we need to take extra good care of it to ensure it continues to look shiny and lustrous as long as possible. Styling tools, harsh water, chemicals and products wreak havoc on your hair. Make a resolution to take better care of it and you’ll enjoy a New Year with fewer bad hair days, guaranteed.

I will wash my face every night

We’ve all done it. You stay out late or fall asleep in front of the TV, and the last thing you want to do is get up and go through your beauty regimen. But playing hooky with this critical step could have unpleasant repercussions, even if you only miss one face washing. Not only will makeup and moisturizer clog your pores, all of the environmental debris that’s landed on your skin throughout the day will … you guessed it … stay there! Think acne, wrinkles and dull, lifeless skin. Who wants that? Make sure to wash your face every night and on those nights when it’s too much work-use a one-use all-in-one makeup remover and moisturizer.

I will wear sunscreen everyday

We’ve been pounding this in for years now. Sun exposure leads to premature aging and skin cancer. Even on cloudy days, you need to wear an SPF to protect your skin’s elasticity and collagen supply. Think about it this way, it’s easier (and less expensive) to slather on a little sunscreen then it is to go through painful, unsightly and costly laser treatments down the road.

I will clean up my makeup drawer

Is your makeup drawer a mess? Broken eyeshadows and a scattering of lipglosses and makeup brushes? Get it under control! You’ll feel better and avoid frantic searches at the last minute for that new crème blush you bought. Invest in some pretty cosmetic bags to keep your beauty goods organized. And while you’re at it, get rid of old makeup applicators and containers. Dermatologists recommend throwing out beauty product after one year because we can transfer bacteria from their fingers to jars of moisturizers and other cosmetics.

I will get more adventurous

It’s a new year, a new you. Try some bolder eyeshadows, lipsticks and why not try a new fragrance? There are many options when it comes to rich, pure pigments to try, and flirty, sexy and feminine perfumes.

I will stop smoking

If you smoke, it’s not too late to stop. You know smoking is terrible for your lungs, makes you smell bad and violates the air space of everyone around you. But another great reason to give up smoking is to slow down the aging process. You can stave off those vertical lines that show up around the mouth, and the crows feet around the eyes and sallow, dry skin just by giving up a dangerous and all-around unsexy and uncool habit.

I will stress less and get more sleep

Being stressed out is never fun but if there was ever a reason to try to relax, it’s to keep your skin looking its best. It’s believe that psychological stress may impair the skin’s barrier function, which keeps bacteria out and water in. In fact, some studies show that people with chronic stress heal more slowly. Lack of sleep and stress can lead to skin disorders and illness, not to mention undereye circles and bags. Get to bed girl!

Beauty And Make-Up Tips

January 26th, 2010

Most women are born with smooth and spotless skin. But years of neglect and bad habits could be the starting point to an aged appearance, blotches, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and a dull, drawn look. It is true then that good skincare is the basis for good looks. Well, before we come to the commandments, it may please you to know that good nutrition is the first bold step to a more beautiful you.

It is vital for a smooth, wrinkle-free skin. The reason is that giving your body the necessary vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, proteins and fats, in a non-toxic diet will greatly reduce the chances of early wrinkles and help maintain the skin’s elasticity.

Back to tips you must take seriously if you want to really look good. Keep early wrinkles at bay:

Try to protect your skin from the sun. Ninety percent of problems associated with early wrinkles are as a result of exposure to the sun. When sunlight hits the skin, its rays trigger the production of free radicals (out of control molecules floating in the air, whose only mission is to destroy the healthy cells in our body by breaking down its collagen). Collagen gives its firmness and tone. It also changes the production of skin pigment, known as melanin, which results in the appearance of sun spots and age spots.

(a) If you must come to the sun, form the good habit of applying sunscreen daily regardless of how mild you may think the weather is.

(b) Exfoliate your face thoroughly: Try to exfoliate your face at least twice in a week. It is necessary to exfoliate your facial skin because it helps to get rid of dead cells on your face. It also helps to unblock the closed pores of your facial skin, enabling your skin to breathe.

(c) Cleanse your face twice daily: Yes, this is another basic step to a more beautiful you. Try and cleanse your face with a good cleansing lotion and soft treated cotton wool twice daily after bath. Remember that soap will not get rid of all the oil on your face and when they are just left there or covered with cream, foundation and compact powder, you may end up having some pimples.

(d) Wash your powder pad twice a week: So many women hardly wash their powder pads as and when due. That is why they complain that their compact powder causes pimples, rashes and acne on their face. Check that pad, has it been washed?

(e) Remember to have your eyebrows shaped: If your eyebrows are lush, you may still have them shaped in way to suit your face. There is no harm in that.I want to assure you that if you follow all the above name tips you would never regret it.
